About Us

Cody and Linea established Friends and Family Farm in 2021. We farm with the goal of providing delicious and nutritious food for our community while taking good care of the land, that we feel lucky to be farming on. Get to know us and our farm below.

Our Farm

Friends and Family Farm is a diversified vegetable farm, building on the market garden idea. We are growing on one acre of a sunny field, on a property with tall woodlands surrounding us. Here, we grow a wide variety of produce, aiming to supply our customers with an exciting array of vegetables, berries, and fruits to use in their kitchens.
The farm is located on land that we lease from our friends Kyle and Lauren in beautiful Veneta, Oregon.

Apart from fruits and vegetables, we also sell eggs from our hens, and we have chickens, ducks, goats, and pigs, who all help with the management of our lands, and building our soil. You can read more about our animals and the work they do here.

We are currently offering CSA subscriptions, an Online Farm Store, and you can find us at Farmers' Markets in the area.

We have many plans and dreams for the future of the farm. We are currently planting perennial crops, fruit trees, and various berries. We look forward to sharing the fruits and vegetables of this labor with our customers once these plants start producing. Apart from adding more diversity to our offerings, perennial crops are also beneficial for the land. You can read more about our growing methods, and the role of perennials on our farm here

Cody and Linea

Cody and Linea are the farmers behind Friends and Family Farm. We met while backpacking in Central America in 2014, and some of our very first conversations were about farming and food, although back then it seemed like an unrealistic dream. After many years of living in a long-distance relationship, Linea finally moved from Denmark to Oregon in 2021. Through the years, our interest in food, cooking, and farming has only deepened. As we have gotten more and more involved with where our food came from, it feels like a natural progression that we would end at the roots so to say, producing much of our food from scratch.
We are excited that we can now call farming our full-time job. We are so happy that we get to share our bounty with our community - our friends and family!
